The Year of Snake

Year 2013 is the year of Snake in Chinese culture. Snake is also known as "little dragon" in Chinese. Though snake isn't like dragon which stands for almighty power, it does have some positive symbolic meanings such as longevity, fecundity and wealth. 

Flying Series is made up of 6 pieces of artworks.  All of them are 15 X 15 cm woodblocks especially designed for the year of Snake. Each snake in Flying Series adopts a different posture. Some fly, some wind, some curl and some go straight. Flying Series not only conveys the auspicious image but also enhances a sense of mysteriousness for snake.
